The Power of a Perfect Client Video Testimonial

Showcasing client video testimonials on your website not only informs potential clients as to what you offer, but can successfully provide a credible recommendation of your services.
The perfect client testimonial video should include the following:

1.    Authenticity

It is best to film at your location so the viewer can get a real sense of your business and a feel for a positive client experience.  If possible, incorporate the product or service in the video as well. Authenticity Is Important for Video Testimonials

2.    Relevant Message

Having clients share a positive comment about your company is nice, but having them reflect on a positive experience will provide more information and create a level of trust.
-Positive comment, “Dr. Neo provided great service.” While this comment is positive, it is vague and does not help inform potential clients who you are or what services you offer.
-Story, “I have been visiting Dr. Neo here at Village Optometry for 10 years and will continue to bring my children here. Village Optometry is simply the best! From Kids to Adults, through every checkup, my kids and I have received the most professional care!  Whether I run into Dr. Neo on the trail or at the grocery store, the first question is always a follow-up on our last visit.  From our family to yours, “Thank you very much, for always being there for us!”  This form of storytelling will help describe your business and engage customers.

3.    Informative Answers

The more precise your questions are during the interview, the more informative the client answers will be on the video. Below are some sample questions to help guide your client during the testimonial.
What is your name and where are you from?
How long have you been coming to BUSINESS NAME?
What brought you to us?
What keeps you coming back?
Would you recommend our service? If so, why?
Is there anything you’d like to add?
Before you film a client testimonial, be sure to have all the participants read and sign a Testimonial Release Form.  This will give you the legal rights to use the testimonial on your website.
